tour was great

Great tour! Tour guide was humourous and informative. The only hang up I had was that I wish the tour included Casanova’s jail cell and the upstairs terrace of St Marks Basilica. But apart from that, awesome tour! Would definitely recommend.

Beyond my expectations

We were given headsets to hear Maria better in crowded areas. We went to the Doge's Palace first. Although we had 'skip the Line tickets there was a short queue of about 5mins. Inside we immediately got the WOW factor.

The Basilica: Know Before You Go

  • Respect St Mark's Basilica dress code. After all, it is a place of worship. A general rule of thumb is to cover your shoulders, arms, and legs. And, of course, no flip-flops!

  • Large backpacks and suitcases are not admitted into the church; take this into consideration when planning your visit.

  • As you enter the Basilica, you are expected to respect the silence. Also, it is strictly prohibited to take pictures or videos inside the church.

  • Avoid booking St Mark's Basilica tickets for Sunday or holidays, since the usual tourist crowd mixes with those going to the church for mass service. In case you do plan to visit on one of these days, check beforehand the Basilica’s opening times, as they may be affected.

  • Basilica di San Marco tickets with guided tours can sell out fast due to the attraction’s popularity, so make sure you reserve in advance.
