Peru Attractions vs France Attractions: FIFA World Cup 2018 of Travel

Hello and welcome. Two big countries joining us today as Peru attractions face off against France attractions. That’s right, northern and southern hemispheres going tete-a-tete in what is sure to be a difficult contest. These two top tourist destinations have ninety minutes to come out on top. The question on everyone’s mind, who’s got more to offer? There’s the whistle, and the game gets underway.

First Half

Both countries come out strong in this FIFA World Cup 2018 of Travel. But, it’s the places to visit in Peru that are looking most promising at the moment. The ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu is, for many, a dream destination. Untouched by the Spanish conquistadors, Machu Picchu remained undiscovered until the 20th century. And, what remains now is a stunning archeological site with a palpable air of splendor.

OFF THE WOODWORK! On the counter, the top tourist attractions in France have caught everyone off guard. Paris alone boasts such a stunning collection of jaw-dropping museums that Peru may struggle to keep up. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Picasso and Rodin Museums are an unstoppable force. And, that’s before you even get started on some of the beautiful cities to visit in France.

Peru has regained their composure here and are looking a little more confident on the ball now. But, if they want to be a real threat here, they’re going to need to offer up more places to visit in Peru.

Oh! And, with that pressing run forward, that’s just what they’re doing. Coming out of nowhere and making straight for goal is Lake Titicaca. The people of Andes believe that this is where the sun was born. And, a minute spent on or near the highest navigable body of water in the world, you will too. The lake and surrounding areas’ absolutely stunning landscape is awe-inspiring and breathtaking.

GOOOOOAAAALLLLL! Putting it across the line, from a dinky little pass, the Nazca Lines. The unexplained, ancient geometric lines that crisscross through the Nazca desert have sealed the deal. There’s the halftime whistle, and both countries are heading from the dressing rooms.

Half Time

If France wants to come back from their deficit, they’re going to want to switch things up at the front. They need to stop relying on all that Paris has to offer and look at introducing more from across the country.

Second Half

We’re underway, and they have done just that. They’ve substituted the top tourist attractions in France and brought on the best places to visit in France. It’s already making the difference as the French Riviera and Chamonix are moving the ball well between each other. Chamonix mountains are a skiers paradise. La Vallée Blanche boasts some of the best off-piste skiing in the world. And, Chamonix itself offers up a slew of Michelin starred restaurants, fancy hotels, and thumping nightlife.

But, it’s the French Riviera, that most powerful of France attractions, who looks the most dangerous in front of goal. It’s just got so much to offer with. Sunbathing on beautiful beaches. Cliff diving into crystal clear waters. Fancy film festivals. Yachts, restaurants, and aperitifs up and down the coast. The seductive allure of the French Riviera is undeniable.

Peru attractions aren’t having any of it though. Their defensive line is standing strong. The Huascaran National Park is just not letting anything through. This 3,400 square kilometer park covers pretty much all of the Cordillera Blanca. It protects an enormous amount of endangered flora and fauna and boasts beautiful landscape that can be explored by its numerous hiking trails.

We’re into extra time here. It’s been barrage after barrage, but Peru’s defense isn’t breaking down. The referee's looking at his watch. And, that’s the final whistle. Peru will be happy with that performance. France, disappointed by the result.

Thanks for joining us.
Until next time!
