What you'll do

Start your adventure from Reykjavík Harbour, where you will sail out into Faxaflói Bay, one of the richest areas for marine life in all of Iceland.

White beaked dolphins and porpoises like to ride in the boat’s wake, and their playful nature is infectious. You may also be lucky enough to see Iceland’s resident and migratory whale species, including humpback whales and minke whales, slightly further out at sea.

Then, the fishing part of the tour will begin. You will be provided with all the necessary fishing and safety equipment, and once you’ve caught your fish (which have a 100% fishing success rate), the experienced crew will fillet them, storing them in a cool storage box, before grilling them once the boat turns back into the harbour.

Your fish will be barbecued in traditional Icelandic fashion and served with a homemade sauce and potatoes. You can also keep any extra fish you catch, just let the crew know before you set sail.
